Google Ads

  1. In AdsGPT, open Plugins and choose Google Ads.
  2. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your Google Ads accounts, and allow AdsGPT to manage them.
  3. Your accounts appear in AdsGPT. Your agent lists them with list_accounts.

google_ads_report reports on any period, in the account’s currency:

Report What it shows
account The account’s totals
campaigns Each campaign
ad_groups Each ad group
ads Each ad
keywords Each keyword
search_terms What people searched before clicking
wasted_spend Search terms that cost money without converting
conversion_actions The conversions the account measures

Reports can be filtered by a campaign and broken down by day. For anything else, your agent writes a GAQL query with google_ads_search, and looks up fields with google_ads_fields.

Change Tool
Pause or enable campaigns, ad groups or ads google_ads_update_status
Change a campaign’s budget google_ads_update_budget
Upload images to the account’s library google_ads_upload_images
Add negative keywords to a campaign google_ads_add_negative_keywords

Your agent reads the current state first and tells you what will change, from what to what, before asking for your approval. Other changes, such as editing an ad’s texts, adding keywords or changing bids, don’t have a tool yet: your agent tells you so, and you make them in Google Ads.

AdsGPT creates campaigns from a plan you approve once. See Create a campaign.

  • Search: text ads on Google Search, with keywords, sitelinks, callouts and structured snippets.
  • Performance Max: one campaign across Search, YouTube, Display, Discover, Gmail and Maps. It bids for conversions, so the account must measure them.

  • Display: responsive image ads on the sites and apps of the Google Display Network.
  • App: ads that get installs of your app across Search, Google Play, YouTube, Discover and the Display Network.

Budgets are in the account’s currency, as a total for the campaign’s dates or per day.
