My agent doesn’t open the sign-in page
Section titled “My agent doesn’t open the sign-in page”- In Claude Code, run
/mcpand choose AdsGPT. In Codex, runcodex mcp login adsgpt. In Gemini CLI, run/mcp auth adsgpt. - Check the URL is exactly
https://mcp.adsgpt.dev, with no/mcpor/sseafter it. - If your client asks for a client ID and secret, leave them empty: AdsGPT registers your client automatically.
The Google Ads tools don’t appear
Section titled “The Google Ads tools don’t appear”The google_ads_* tools appear only when your organization connected Google Ads. Ask the owner of
your AdsGPT organization to connect it from Plugins, then reconnect your agent or start a new
session.
My agent can read but not change anything
Section titled “My agent can read but not change anything”The first time your agent changes something, it has to ask for the ads:write permission. Sign in
again when it asks. If a change still fails, your role in the organization may not allow it: ask an
owner.
“The authorization is no longer valid”
Section titled ““The authorization is no longer valid””Your agent’s authorization ended: you left the organization, an owner removed the agent’s access, or your account changed. Sign in again from your agent.
A Google Ads connection expired
Section titled “A Google Ads connection expired”AdsGPT tells you when a platform’s connection needs to be renewed. An owner reconnects it from Plugins.
A report comes back empty
Section titled “A report comes back empty”Check the period and the account. A manager account has no campaigns of its own: ask about one of its client accounts.
